Our Early Valentine's Day Night Out

Thursday night Chris and I along with Chan and Marla went to see Brian Regan who is a comedian. I didn't know what to expect because we have never been to see a comedian but that was our Valentine gift to each other. We started off the night at Longhorn's to eat and then headed to the VBCC for a night of laughter. Paw Paw and Maw Maw kept Lillian and she also spent the night with them too because we didn't know what time we would be back in that night. I think I laughed more at the people that were laughing because some had very funny laughs. I laughed so hard that I didn't have much eye make-up left because I was literally crying. My stomach hurt so much from laughing! The comedian was okay but I wouldn't pay that price again to see one. There was another comedian before Brian but I can't remember his name. He was okay but nothing that made you keep laughing. But all together, it was a very good night out. Here are some pics of the comedians.

Learning so much!

We had almost my whole family at my house Saturday night to visit Lillian. I had cooked supper for Chan and Marla and then our phone started ringing to see if they could come and see Lillian. She was very popular that night. She is really into singing and playing the guitar and what better teacher to have than her Uncle Guinn (he plays the guitar and has a bluegrass group which Lillian loves to hear Uncle Guinn, Aunt Tammy, Laura Leigh, and Lane sing from time to time). Here she is getting some stringing lesson from him.

She is trying out what her teacher taught her about the guitar!

On Sunday morning before church she is in our bathroom trying so hard to change her baby's diaper. Too funny!!

Recent Birthday Fun

Lillian's cousin Jonathan recently celebrated his 12th birthday with a Wii party with just family. She had a ball even though she couldn't play the Wii. In the picture below the girls were playing a game with their feet and Lillian wanted so much to join in.

Lillian is like why won't you let me play!

Playing with Sarah

Sunday we went to church at Gooch Lane with Brain, Dawn, and Sarah Barlow. After church we went to Applebee's to eat and then back to their house for the girls to play. Lillian had so much fun playing with all of Sarah's toys and they played great together. For those that do not know we are on the adoption waiting list again with Christian Family Services and hopefully Brian and Dawn will be on that waiting list with CFS also. We always said from the beginning that we would put our paperwork back in when Lillian turned 1 1/2 years old. Well, we stayed true to that and was active on Oct. 12th. We haven't heard anything yet but we still keep praying that God will know when the time is right. Lillian already says that she wants a brother and a sister and that she has to pray to God for them. We are very excited to add another one to the family and we understand that our lives are really, really going to change with two or three. Adoption is a very beautiful thing. Sarah and Lillian are so blessed beyond measure from the result of adoption. Thanks Brian, Dawn, and Sarah for the fun night!

Big Girl Bed!

We have been debating for some time on when we should convert her baby bed into her toddler bed. Well, Saturday was the day. It was kind of sad because she is growing up too fast. We have been trying to get her to go to bed on her own. We have made the transition from having to be rocked to lying on the couch and going to sleep and then we would put her in her bed. Now we are trying to get her to lay in her bed and try to go to sleep. We were worried about her falling off the bed but we have put body pillows in the floor. She fell off the first night but was okay due to the pillows being there. Lillian was very excited when she saw her big girl bed and immediately wanted to get on the bed and lay down. We thought great she might actually go to bed on her on. Not a chance with that right now. Work in progress. She still wants Mommy to lay down with her so I lay in the floor until she goes off to sleep. Here is a picture of her big girl bed.

She looks like she is sleeping so good!

Recent Ballgame Fun!

We recently attended a West/Clements ballgame to see Lillian's buddy Jordan play ball. She had a ball and didn't want to leave to go home. Before the ballgame we went by to see Sandy Bass' little cottage that she has behind her house. Sandy and Dwight did a fantastic job on the cottage. Lillian got to play with Sandy and Dwight's granddaughter's toys. She loved playing so much that she didn't want to leave. Sandy gave her a goodnight Barney to take with her and Dwight gave her a wood carved whale with wheels on it that he had made. Thanks Sandy and Dwight again for the toys! Then we all headed to the ballgame to watch Jordan play ball.

Here is Jordan and Lillian!

Lillian managed to get some pom poms and she was cheering "Go Colts!"

Lillian found her some bracelets and had a ball with them. She is definitely a girly girl.

And of course, who could go to a ballgame without having some popcorn! Yum!

Award!!

Sorry that it has taken me so long to blog again. We have been on the go so much and late when we get in that I just want to go to bed. Thanks Amber and Dana for the award! So now I must list my 5 addictions.

1. Bidding on ebay. I love bidding for things on ebay especially when it comes to things for Lillian. I see so many cute outfits and Chris sometimes has to put his foot down or I would just spend like crazy on her. Girls are so much fun to dress!

2. Eating out. I would rather eat out than cook! That is probably why I am so big. I am hopefully going to start my Weight Watchers Diet on my own Monday. Wish me luck!

3. Diet Sundrop. I love it!!! What else can I say about a good, cold diet sundrop? LOL

4. Looking at blogs. I love keeping up with everyone. Like Amber, I check everyday to see if anyone has posted anything new.

5. Chocolate! I could eat some kind of chocolate with peanuts in it all day. Again that will have to stop a little when the big diet rolls around.
