The Joy of Having a Sister!!

Lillian loves Abby so much! She still is rough with Abby but she does not want anyone to take Abby home. She wants Abby to stay with her and boy does Abby watch Lillian! Abby is watching Lillian more and more and just smiles at her. Lillian just can't wait for Abby to get bigger so that she can play with her. She also has become the biggest helper that mommy could ever ask for. I believe that she will be the biggest protector of her little sister in years to come. I cannot believe that the months are quickly passing by and that it has already been two months since Abby has been born. We go for her check-up on Thursday so I will let you all know how much she has grown. I really can't wait to see how much she definitely weighs. My baby girl loves to eat unlike her sister. Lillian would rather drink chocolate milk all day long than to eat any food. She will definitely have strong bones!
I think that I am caught up for now. Can't wait for the Fiddler's Convention this weekend! Hope the weather is great!!

Happy Birthday James!!

This past Saturday Lillian attended James's birthday party. Lillian had a blast and really didn't want to leave. Hope James's day was a great one!! Here is a picture of the birthday girl, James.

Happy Anniversary to us!!!

On September the 16th, Chris and I celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary! My, my how we have changed in 14 years. I am going to go down memory lane for just a little bit. I met Chris my senior year of school around the square. I went to get something to drink with him in his little black Ford Ranger pickup truck and from then on it was a match. It is a little funny because the first time that he called to ask me out I had to tell him that I already had plans which was true but he thought that I didn't want to go out with him. So he almost didn't call back for a second time. At the time we started dating I was 17 and Chris was 22. My mother didn't freak out over the age gap because she knew the family and my sister Robin had finished school with Chris's brother Bryant. Our first date we went to the movies to see "Sleepless in Seattle" and then to Ryan's to eat. After a few months of dating I knew that he was the one that I had been praying for all my life. After a year of dating he proposed to me on September 21, 1994. We then married the following September of 1995. It rained all day on our wedding day. I remember on the way to our honeymoon in Gatlinburg that I started crying because we were lost and we kept going around these 90 degree turns and I just knew that we were going to run off the mountain. Needless to say we made it there safe and sound. As far as celebrating for our anniversary, Robin kept the kids while we slipped off to go and get some dessert because it was on a Wednesday night. Lillian kept wanting to sing happy birthday to us. I hope and pray that Chris and I will have many more years together.
Still more to come.........

Happy Birthday Alivia!!

It has been a while and there has been lots of things going on. About two Saturdays ago, Lillian went to Alivia's birthday party. Alivia is the great niece of our friends Chan and Marla. Of course, Lillian had a marvelous time. So here is Lillian posing with the birthday girl Alivia!

Playing with Sarah!!

Last night we had company over. Uncle Guinn and Aunt Tammy came by for a little surprise visit and Brian, Dawn, and Sarah Barlow came by to visit. Lillian had so much fun playing with Sarah. Brian and Dawn are on the waiting list with CFS. We hope and pray that they will get a call from Jerry soon!! Maybe they will have a little time to prepare for their baby than we did! You never know when it will be!!!

Lillian and Sarah playing!
We had a great night. After my first week back at work I was really looking forward to the weekend. Hope everyone has a nice weekend!!

Sesame Street Live!!!!

After my long first day back at work on Tuesday, I took Lillian to see Sesame Street Live that night. Leanne and Katie Lee went along for the show also. The show was great but a little long. By the end of it Lillian was telling me that she was tired, but overall it was a great show. We are waiting for a Barney Live show to come to town. If anyone knows of one please let me know.

Lillian and Katie Lee enjoying themselves before the show!
She watched every move that they made.

Abby spent her first night away from home that night with Paw Paw and Maw Maw. Mother was thinking of me....how sweet of her. She knew that it would be late when we got in and she wanted me to get a good night sleep. I'm glad that she offered because I was so tired that I don't even remember my head hitting the pillow. By the way I did survive my first day back!! Can't wait for fall break!!

Labor Day

Labor Day we celebrated with my sister Tammy at Mt. Rozell. We had hamburgers and hotdogs cooked over on open pit. They were so delicious!! I knew that I needed to enjoy the day because my first day at work would be the very next day. It was so nice outside!!

Hope everyone had a safe and happy Labor Day!!

Better Late Than Never........

Well, I haven't had any time to blog here lately with me going back to work so I am going to try and catch everyone up with what has been going on at our house. Last Saturday we watched the Alabama game at my sister Robin's house and we had the kids pictures made with Big Al. Anna sticks out like a sore thumb because she doesn't have her Alabama gear on. I thought it was a great pic.

Jackie is teaching Lillian the cheer "Firecracker, Firecracker, Boom, Boom, Boom".
Lillian is waiting to celebrate after the touchdown!

Recent Activites

This past Wednesday we had some company to come by the house. Atina, that I finished high school with, came by with her daughter Blakely to see Abby and Lillian. It was so great to see them. Lillian and Blakely had fun playing with each other. Atina and I had so much fun catching up that I didn't take any pictures of the girls playing. Hope that Blakely can come back to play again!!

Blakely holding Abby!
On Friday Lillian went with me to the pep rally at Clements. She was so excited about going! She talked all the way about seeing the horse, Colt. She was just talking big because she somehow was scared to death of him. Last year she didn't have a problem with him and now I don't know why she is so afraid of him. Anyway, I talked to my class to let them know that I would be coming back on Tuesday. They seemed excited but I have to admit that I am really not excited about leaving my girls to go back. I will be counting down the days until the next holiday. Wish me a good year at school!!

Smiling in her Colts cheerleader outfit!
I hope that we didn't catch anything while we were at school. I didn't want to carry Abby because of the threat of the swine flu. I made sure that Lillian washed her hands and we used every kind of wipe that kills the virus. I hope to have more pictures after tonight. We are heading to my sister Robin's for the big game. Lots of good company and food!! How could it get any better than that???? How about a big Roll Tide win!!!!!
